Caryn Alex-Hayden is a former library manager who retired from a large metropolitan library system located in the Midwest. During her career she managed library branches in urban areas where she had a knack for working with customers of all ages. She developed strong personal relationships and contacts with surrounding nonprofits and local businesses. Caryn currently serves as the president of her neighborhood civic association and has been involved for more than 10 years. She has held several chair positions with various community organizations, is a Neighborhood Leadership Academy graduate and has received awards and recognition for her continued service. She has a Master’s Degree in Library Science, a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and credit hours toward state and national licensure in real estate. When not spending time writing or working with community events, you may find her creating itineraries for her travel club business or dabbling in real estate. She is married and has one child and one grandchild.
